The Bellamy family met me at Holcomb Gardens on a Sunday morning in June for some family photos. Even though the hot sun was beginning to warm things up, we were able to get some fun pictures in before it got too steamy. Jessica and Jeff have three energetic kiddos - Harper (5), and twin 2.5 year old boys Aaron & Brandon. Needless to say, the pinwheels were hit!!

Jessica and I worked at PwC together about 10 years ago. Like Melanie (featured in a previous blog), she was with me on a cruise where I met my husband Tony. We have made the effort to keep in touch after leaving PwC and still have dinner/playdates every few months. It's been so fun watching their family grow!! Miss Harper started kindergarten this fall and she's a very intelligent little girl with a lot of sass. The boys are so silly and goofy, with a little bit of shyness.

Fall is Here! | The Zarich Family | Indianapolis Family Photographer

I spent a gorgeous fall-ish evening at the Zarich household last weekend. They have a wonderful yard with some great spots for pictures. The leaves that had already fallen from the trees and were piled up made for some extra fun for the kids. Katie and Jon (who are great friends of ours) have two cutie little boys, Blaise (3.5 yrs) and Ambrose (10 months). Blaise made me work for some of his pictures - he wanted to play hide and seek a little more than he wanted to have a photo session, but I found my way to him a few times. (: Mr. Ambrose was all smiles though!

Jon and Katie are part of a circle of friends in which most of the guys went to elementary school together way back when. It has been so much fun getting to know all of the couples, sharing several milestones (FUN weddings!) and watching our families grow. Jon and Katie used to live on the other side of the duplex that my husband Tony lived in when we first met. I have many fond memories of parties at the house during our pre-children days. (: They moved to a beautiful house in Pike Township in 2012, the same year Blaise was born.

Fall was definitely in the air.....LEAVES!!

I had a wonderful time hanging out with friends and capturing some sweet moments. I also have to give a shout out to our mutual friend Sarah (coincidently their neighbor) for bringing over marshmallows - they came in handy to distract the boys! (: That may become my new kid-taming trick.

Melanie and Josh | 3.75 Year Anniversary Pictures | Indianapolis Couples Photographer

I was privileged to have a photo session with my friends Melanie and Josh back in June. Come to find out, the actual date of the shoot was their 3.75 year anniversary. Because every couple gets pictures taken for their 3.75 year milestone, right??? Anyway, it was a blast and we had a ton of fun! If I hadn't already solidified my decision to really go for the photography business, this session pushed me much further into this endeavor. I love photography and I love capturing moments for such fun people!

I've known Melanie now for over 10 years. We worked together at PwC and we were on several audit teams together (several days and nights in the audit room). We became such good friends that we traveled together on some girls vacations. She was even on the cruise where I met my husband! I'm so glad we have remained friends after leaving PwC and still make the effort to get together several times a year to catch up. Josh and her were married in 2011 and let me tell you - he is hilarious! You can see in the pictures how much fun they have together and how much they adore each other....love it!

There is no place like home. So cliché, yet so true. My cousin Sunny, her wife Jamie, and their cutie one-year-old son Cooper came home to Valparaiso for a long weekend. They don't get to visit very often from their current home in Levittown, NY; plane tickets are expensive, vacation time is sparse, and well, traveling with kids is not really embraced by any parent. (: I know Sunny loves sharing her hometown with her loved ones, as do I. We are proud of where we grew up. I was excited when I found out that my family was planning on visiting Valpo the same weekend they were coming into town. I took the opportunity to not only visit them and get my Cooper-fix in, but also capture some wonderful family pictures. Mr. Cooper was on the move!

These pictures were taken at Sunny's mom's house - I call her Aunt Debi (I could go on for days about how much Aunt Debi means to me and my family - she has been there for us during every major life event and then some). She lives in an amazing historic house with a bright red front door and she is a master gardener. It's a beautiful location for pictures and to take their family pictures there was extra special.

Such a wonderful and loving family.....and have to love kisses from Uncle Kirby! I kept telling them, as I do all my clients, that "touching is good!" Sunny was thinking that should be my motto on my business cards....well, maybe not....not sure everyone would perceive that the same way. (:

Girls just want to have fun! | The Luchon Family | Ogden Gardens

So I have to apologize to Eric (dad) for the blog title - the session wasn't ALL girls since he was included. But lets face it - they were the stars of the show! My last blog post featured the Hrivnak family and I knew Dustin from working at a grocery store in Valpo back in my early college days. Oddly enough, I met Eric at the same place! I cashiered there and he was a bagger. Thankfully we have all moved on to bigger and better things but we are thankful for the friendships that were forged. You know you have good friends when you keep in touch even after 15+ years.

Eric and his beautiful wife, Samantha, have three darling girls. I loved getting to spend some time with them while sneaking in some family pictures.

And I LOVED the girls' outfits, especially the boots!

We let the girls loose for a few moments while I snuck some shots in of mom and dad, the foundation of this beautiful family. I admire the Luchon's laid back nature and their strong faith. The girls are so blessed to have such loving and fun parents.
