A Whole Lot of Beautiful | The Robinson Family | Indianapolis Family Photographer

Ron and Coya Robinson were blessed with four beautiful girls that now range from ages 13 to 20.  And they are boasting with pride over them (rightfully so!).  The oldest, Chelsea, is currently a sophomore at the University of Kentucky studying mechanical engineering and is an RA in her dorm.  Paige is a senior in high school and is the current title holder for Indiana Teen USA, Chanler is a freshman in high school, runs track and loves her horse Red.  The youngest of the group, Paris, is a seventh grader and loves dance.  The sisters were so fun to watch together during our session.  Chelsea doesn't make it home often because of her demanding college schedule, so they are all giggles and smiles when they are all bantering back and forth.

Our session was held on the couple's old farm property in Trader's Point.  I LOVE this location and the old buildings and the rustic feel it has.  They painted the barn red last fall and it's stunning, just like this family.  When browsing through the photos, you'll find yourself wondering how can there possibly be so much beautiful in one family.  And the posing - they were awesome at striking a pose with minimal direction from myself and letting their personalities shine.  Enjoy!

Thanks to the Robinson's for one fantastic and FUN session!

ONE | Avery | Carmel Children's Photographer

So how awesome is my job?  I get to cuddle with precious newborns, hang out with fun families, and in this case, attend first birthday parties.  I photographed the Long family last fall and baby Avery was about 6 months old.  She was a star throughout the session.  So when they contacted me to attend and photograph Avery's first birthday party with a lifestyle feel, I was so excited!

Avery once again was a STAR - hamming it up, smiling, and devouring her cake without actually getting too crazy messy.  She is obviously the princess of the family, and rightfully so.  Thanks to Josh and Jessica for allowing me to capture these great memories.

Silly and Sassy Girls | The Laughner Family | Indianapolis Family Photographer

One of the greatest honors, in my opinion, is to be asked by another photographer to photograph their family.  Another great honor is to be asked by a friend.  The Laughner's lived across the street from us for 8 years and I learned after starting my business that Jeremiah used to be a professional photographer. He shot more run-way models and weddings then families like me, but some awesome stuff.  I was so excited (and honored) when he asked me to photograph their family last fall as an anniversary gift for his wife, Jodi.

It has been so fun watching their family grow through the years.  Their oldest daughter, Addison, is a chatterbox.  Anytime we were coming home or were in the front yard, she was asking what we were doing or where we were going.  She's so silly.  And their other daughter, Amelia, is a sweetie but she has a little sass as well.  My boys always liked "impressing the girls" and getting them to laugh when they stopped by.

The Laughner's moved to Brownsburg in January and I know they are enjoying it there.   I miss seeing them across the street but we stay in touch through social media and hope we can get together in the future.

Close-knit | The Byrum Family | Indianapolis Family Photographer

I was connected to the Byrum's by the St. Luke Catholic Church Fall Fest silent auction. They were the lucky winners of my session package. I hadn't met them before since we usually attend an earlier Sunday mass but even then, our church is made up of hundreds of families.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet family though.  Kara, mom, was so nice and so easy to talk to.  She is a saint in my book as she homeschools all four of their children.  Clark, dad, was very charismatic and friendly.  And the kids - they were all spunky and silly and sweet.  There is something about big Catholic families - there just is.  They have a closeness and a camaraderie.  I love it.  Check out the fun that we had on a chilly fall morning last November.

Thanks to the Byrum's for supporting the church and for a fantastic session!

"I've waited so long for this" | Maggie Moser | Indianapolis Maternity Photographer

New parents are emotional - but for all the right reasons.  Especially moms.  Here you are, finally meeting the little being that you carried inside of you for 9 months or so, that you co-created with your partner.  You feel a love that you never have felt before.  I always say that yes, you love your spouse, but the love for a child is beyond words.  SO amazing and so deep.  During my newborn session with the Moser's, I was photographing Ashley (mom) with little Maggie and she says "I've waited so long for this."  Yes - perfect.  And she started to tear up when I was taking pics of Andy (dad) and Maggie.  I could tell it was something she had envisioned for awhile, but now it was finally happening.  Their perfect little girl is here and there's forever.

Newborn sessions are difficult but yet so easy to make an emotional connection. Mom and Dad don't have to fake any smiles when you tell them to look at their baby.  It's so genuine; so sincere.  That's why newborn sessions create such amazing, heart-felt photos....they are exhibiting a love and emotion that is so apparent.  Love my job (:

So on to Andy, Ashley, Maggie and of course, the other star of the show, Winston.  Winston is seriously one of my favorite doggy models thus far.  His expression just kills me.  And I love how he is just as much as part of the family as anyone else.

So enjoy the Moser's mini maternity session + newborn session:

Thank you so much to the Moser's for allowing me to capture this amazing time in their lives.
